Ammar A. Aker

For over 30 years, Ammar Aker has been a Palestinian Executive and Entrepreneur with exposure to several regional and international markets.  He served as a CEO of Palestine Telecom Group (PalTel) from 2010 until 2022 and he is currently a member of its Board of Directors.  Prior to that, he was the CEO of Palestine Cellular Communications Company (Jawwal), and before that, he served as a CFO for the company.  Mr. Aker has recently become the Chairman of the Board of ARKAAN Real Estate Co., the largest real estate public company in Palestine with almost $400M in assets.  He is also the Chairman of VTEL Middle East and Africa (MEA), a board member of PADICO Holdings, and a member of the board of trustees for An-Najah National University. 

Ammar is also an active board member of several international, regional and local organizations, such as the AMIDEAST Advisory Board in Palestine, PalTechUS Advisory Board, the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), Palestine Branch, Mahmoud Darwish Foundation, and The Institute of Palestinian Studies (IPS) in Beirut.

He is also a co-founder of Lychee Tech, Acadia Investments, MKN Group, and Aspects Investments.

Mr. Aker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science degree in accounting from Kent State University, Ohio.
